I work as a Deputy Clerk & Finance Officer for a Town Council. My 3 children attended LPS. I have been a school governor for 17 years.

Julia Tappin-Headteacher Governor

I have taught in both Croydon and Lingfield in addition to carrying out research for Brighton University. I am also Specialist Leader in Education. I have 2 children.

Charlotte Bunyan-Staff Governor

   I have been a class teacher at Lingfield for over three years now, whilst also completing my Masters of Education at the University of Cambridge. I am part of a large family and love spending my time with them.

Sue Yates-Staff Governor
I am a Teaching/Reading Intervention Assistant. I have worked at LPS for 20 years. My younger daughter attended LPS.

Jane Blunt-Parent Governor

 My 3 children all attend the school. I'm now a full time Mum but previously spent over 20 years working in financial services as an actuary.

Caroline Henry- Parent Governor
I am a working Mum with 2 children, one of whom attends LPS and the other will start school in 2017. I have worked as a Project Manager in financial services for 18 years.

These Governors are selected for their additional skills that can contribute to the Governing Body.

Marion Unsworth - Co-opted Governor​
I am a retired headteacher of a Surrey Special School. I have also taught in Bromley and at St Piers School/Young Epilepsy. I have a B.A M.A Cert Ed and Adv. Dip in Specific Learning Difficulties. I have lectured in Special Needs at Greenwich University and carried out research in How Children Learn at Brunnel University. As a Headteacher of a "Beacon School" I advised Bromley Education Authority and delivered courses and advice to many schools both within Surrey and the wider education community.

Kelly Lancashire - Co-opted Governor
I have a child in Year 3 and am an ex pupil of the school. I work for Surrey County Council as the SE Education Welfare Manager.

Tom Hipwell - Co-opted Governor
I'm an applications developer working for J.P Morgan in London. I have strong interests in technology and finance. I've lived in the Lingfield area for two years, firstly in Lingfield itself and now in the Eden Valley close to Chiddingstone.

Anne Graziano - Co-opted Governor
I have a child in year three and another who completed year six in 2016.  I have a Masters in Personnel and Development and have worked in Human Resources for 17 years, currently overseeing the function at 5 racecourses across the South East including Lingfield Park Resort.  I'm proud to be involved with our happy and successful school.

Gail Deane - Co-Opted Governor

I have taught Physical Education throughout my professional life, beginning in England and spending a large part in Edinburgh. I have brought up three children and now have six grandchildren, two of which attend Lingfield Primary School. I have broad interests including the Arts, sport and theatre. I am involved with several committees and also enjoy volunteering at Standen.


Governors generally serve a term of 4 years with the exception of the Headteacher. After this time Governors will either be re-nominated or in the case of both Staff and Parent Governors, re-elected.
