Julia Tappin - Headteacher Governor
I have taught in both Croydon and Lingfield in addition to carrying out research for Brighton University. I am also Specialist Leader in Education. I have 2 children.
Cassie Puplett - Headteacher Governor
I have taught in three schools across Kent, Surrey and Croydon. I have a passion for practical, hands on learning and am a Specialist Leader of Education. I have two children, Izzy 9 and Finn 7.
Charlotte Bunyan-Staff Governor
At Lingfield Primary, I have been the staff governor for over 2 years. I am the Early Years and Key Stage One leader and one of the subject leaders for science, something I have a passion for. As part of my governing role, I am responsible for overseeing the curriculum, which I really enjoy. More recently, I have completed a Masters in Education and look forward to applying my research findings to the classroom. Outside school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and travelling to new places.
Sue Darney-Co-opted Governor
My professional life was spent, in Wales, teaching English to G.C.S.E.level. I was also a Head of Year ,in a large comprehensive school ,which meant that I monitored the academic progress as well as overseeing the pastoral needs of the pupils in my year group.
I belong to a number of organisations,in the area ,and enjoy many aspects of the Arts.
I am a volunteer at Lingfield Primary-listening to children read. My grandson is a Reception class pupil at the school.
James Kearney-Co-opted Governor
I have recently been appointed as a co-opted governor at LPS. I am a biologist having previously worked at the Royal Marsden in Sutton before working for a number of years in the City of London financial sector. In 2001 I changed careers and moved into education becoming a Biology Teacher. I worked for 16 years at the Surrey based Multi Academy trust - Glyn Learning Foundation, specialising in the pastoral wellbeing of young people. I have worked as a Head of Year, SENDCO, and Assistant Headteacher before moving to my present position of Deputy Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead at a South London mixed Catholic Secondary comprehensive. In my spare time I like to participate in a number of sports, particularly Rugby and Cricket and am a keen Buschcraft advocate, running woodland skills courses for students with behavioural difficulties.”
Caroline Henry - Chair of Governors/Co-OptedGovernor
I am a working Mum with 2 children, both of whom attend Lingfield Primary School. I joined the governing body as parent governor in February 2013 and took up the role of Vice Chair of the Governing Body in October 2017. I have worked as a Project Manager in financial services for the last 22 years, specialising in operations and regulation. I am now the Operations Director at an investment management firm.
Anne Graziano - Co-opted Governor - HR & Stakeholders
I have a child in year three and another who completed year six in 2016. I have a Masters in Personnel and Development and have worked in Human Resources for 17 years, currently overseeing the function at 5 racecourses across the South East including Lingfield Park Resort. I'm proud to be involved with our happy and successful school.
Gail Deane - Co-Opted Governor - SEND & Safeguarding
I have taught Physical Education throughout my professional life, beginning in England and spending a large part in Edinburgh. I have brought up three children and now have six grandchildren, two of which attend Lingfield Primary School. I have broad interests including the Arts, sport and theatre. I am involved with several committees and also enjoy volunteering at Standen.
Cameron Turner - Vice Chair of Governors/Data
I am the Managing Director of Lean Consulting and my firm specialises in continuous improvement and operational excellence for firms throughout the UK and Europe. I have 2 boys currently at the school with another 2 boys due to start in 2019 and 2022. I’m passionate about the success of the school and delighted to be serving as a Governor.
Laura Plumadore - Resources
I am a working mum of two boys who both attend Lingfield Primary School and have been a parent Governor since 2018 leading on resources which includes budgeting, health and safety, GDPR and the school maintenance plan. These all fit well within my skill set and compliment my role at SES Water as the Corporate Services Manager.
TERMS OF OFFICE
Governors generally serve a term of 4 years with the exception of the Headteacher. After this time Governors will either be re-nominated or in the case of both Staff and Parent Governors, re-elected.
