In April 2021, I was appointed as a co-opted governor at LPS. I am a full time working mother, my son currently attends Lingfield Primary School and has done since nursery. I am a secondary Assistant Headteacher, with a specialism in Drama and consequently I have a huge passion for high quality Arts and Cultural access for young people through their curriculum and school experiences. I have a Masters in Education, I’m a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and I co-founded a UK wide networking platform for Drama teachers and theatre educators in May 2019. I hope that my Secondary, Arts, Culture and Early Career Teacher specialism will support the governing body as they prepare for Ofsted, review curriculum content, support with primary to secondary transition and work to integrate the new Early Career Framework for the teacher development at the school. Before training to teach I worked professionally within theatre and television as a stage manager and outside broadcast camera assistant. I have also worked as an examiner, moderator and development manager for several exam boards as well as a freelance consultant to the exams regulator, Ofqual. I have previous governing experience between at Junior School in Kent where I held the governing responsibilities of safeguarding, governor training and development and Vice-Chair. In my spare time I like to go to the theatre, read and enjoy watching my children take part in their hobbies.
