Free App – Teach your monster to read – we’ve only just discovered this but it looks really good and suitable for tablets.

WRITING

Please encourage your child to write as often as possible.  Encourage them to segment words on their ‘Fred fingers’ and have a go at writing simple sentences (don’t forget the finger spaces!).  Please use the phonic sound mat that we gave you at parents’ evening for reference.

NUMBER

Numberblocks is an excellent 5 minute programme that the children love.  There are 44 episodes on BBC iplayer. The series has really good maths content.

The children love junk modelling, so make sure you use your recycling before you put it in the bin!

We used this site in Art Club recently and the children loved it.
