Governors' Information

I have been at Lingfield for nearly 15 years starting as Early Years leader in Reception before moving into senior leadership. I have taught in three schools across Kent, Surrey and Croydon. I have a passion for using evidence informed practice in the classroom and making learning memorable. I have two children, Izzy and Finn, and love gardening, eating delicious food and going to the gym - sometimes!

I am currently the SENCO at Lingfield Primary School having worked here for 17 years in various roles from Class Teacher for Year 1 through to Year 6 to Specialist Art Teacher. I have an interest in inclusion  - promoting equal opportunities and access to education for all students. I have two children who have now both moved on from Lingfield Primary School into secondary education. I enjoy walking my dog, cooking, reading and travelling.

I have worked as a Project Manager in financial services for over 20 years, specialising in operations and regulation. Both my children have attended Lingfield Primary and thrived. One has now moved on to secondary and the other still attends our lovely school. I joined the governing body as a parent governor in February 2013 and, after a period as joint Chair in 2019, I took up the role of sole Chair of the Governing Body in 2020. I work closely with the other governors, Cass Puplett and the school leadership team to steer the school strategically with our pupils and wider school community at the heart of everything we do.

I am the Managing Director of Lean Consulting and my firm specialises in continuous improvement and operational excellence for firms throughout the UK and Europe. I have 4 boys who are all, or have been, students at the school. I’m passionate about the success of the school and delighted to be serving as a Governor.

My professional life was spent in Wales, teaching English to G.C.S.E. level. I was also a Head of Year in a large comprehensive school which meant that I monitored the academic progress as well as overseeing the pastoral needs of the pupils in my year group. I belong to a number of organisations in the area and enjoy many aspects of the Arts. I am a volunteer at Lingfield Primary School; listening to children read. My grandson is a pupil at the school.

I have a child in Y5 and another one in Y1. Following an early career in biology and finance, I have worked in education for over 20 years. I have worked as a Head of Year, SENDCO and Assistant Headteacher before moving to Deputy Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead at a secondary comprehensive. In April of 2021, I became Principal at Carew Academy, a school for students with moderate learning difficulties. In my spare time, I enjoy sports, bushcraft and running woodland skills courses for students with behavioural difficulties.

I have worked for London Ambulance Service NHS Trust for nearly 30 years and currently Assistant Director of Operations.  I have extensive senior experience in operations management, HR (including recruitment) and people management as well as being a strategic commander for the Trust.

I have a daughter in Year 4 and another in Reception. I also have 2 older daughters who are beyond school age.

I believe strongly in ensuring everyone has opportunities to thrive in an environment that nurtures and encourages and as a Governor i will do my best to support Lingfield to make sure that continues to happen.

I am the local vicar and have been in Lingfield since 2021. I have been involved in childrens and youth work across a number of Churches and I regularly go into school to lead assemblies as well as leading the Lingfield Youth Hub which meets at the school on a Wednesday. Part of my role as a governor is to ensure that parents, staff and children have a voice and I am passionate about facilitating this and helping Lingfield Primary continue to be such a wonderful place for all children to attend.

I am an Area Manager for a supermarket retailer with stores in the surrounding communities. I have a son who is currently in Nursery at Lingfield school with another on the way. I am passionate about working with and supporting the school to ensure that the children have, along side the fantastic teaching they receive, gives the best foundation for future success.
